Welcome to Malwerewolf. So, since we are brand new, It’s only appropriate to start off with a bit of an introduction. Who we are, why we decide to start this website, etc. Firstly, who are we? We are a group of 6 coworkers, and friends, and we all have a deep passion for all things information security. While we are all relatively new to the industry (between 1-3 years) all of us love what we do, and want to grow and learn. So, while we all work together, we wanted to have a place where we can share all the security related things we are interested in, and are learning about. A place where we can collaborate outside of the workplace. This gives us the opportunity to collaborate, and also to share our interests with the world, and others who are also passionate about security. It’s an opportunity for us to continue to learn, and to hopefully be able to learn from the community at large. We don’t claim to be experts, far from it. We know we have a lot to learn, and we also know that there are people out there who have a lot to offer, and what’s better than being able to learn by getting direct feedback from those in the industry all over the world?! We plan to cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to coding, network forensics, host forensics, and malware reverse engineering. All of us find these topics interesting and want to learn more about them. In addition, we will also do other things like cover various news stories related to the industry, at least the ones we consider interesting, or important. We have some other ideas as well that we are thinking about, that we will introduce as we mature. So to sum it up, our goal is quite simple…learning through collaboration, both with each other, and with the security community.
So, let’s get this kicked off then! Again, Welcome to MalWerewolf. We hope you enjoy what we have to offer.
